Program Mission:
Using one-on-one academic tutoring, tennis instruction, parent education, mentoring, and enrichment activities, EPATT strives to impact students academically, athletically and socially to ensure each one is prepared for college and career.
Position Overview:
The Program Impact and Family Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring EPATT’s after-school programs are welcoming, effective, and community-centered. This position is responsible for student recruitment and enrollment, preparing classrooms for learning, building strong relationships with families, engaging with school site staff, and coordinating family-centered events throughout the year. The ideal candidate is highly organized, community-oriented, and passionate about supporting young people through education and enrichment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Recruitment & Family Engagement
- Lead recruitment and outreach to enroll students in EPATT’s Elementary and Middle School after-school academic programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new families: give tours, answer questions, and guide them through the enrollment process
- Maintain accurate student enrollment and attendance records
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, meetings, and updates
- Organize and lead family-centered events throughout the year to build community and strengthen family-school connections
- Monitor school calendars and events to ensure EPATT programming is aligned and responsive
- Develop and execute a year-round recruitment strategy that includes tabling at schools, attending community events, and maintaining a visible presence in local family-serving spaces
- Track enrollment trends and develop targeted outreach efforts to ensure equitable access and representation from the community
- Work with the Development or Communications team to create flyers, newsletters, and basic social media posts that promote EPATT programs and events
- Serve as a public-facing ambassador for EPATT during school visits, community forums, and partner meetings
2. Program Implementation & Classroom Operations
- Ensure classrooms are clean, welcoming, and fully equipped with necessary academic supplies and technology
- Support daily classroom setup and breakdown to ensure smooth transitions for students and staff
- Work closely with teaching staff to confirm classroom schedules, tech readiness, and lesson flow
- Maintain inventory and coordinate repairs or replacements of equipment as needed
3. Volunteer Oversight (Post-Placement Only)
- Once volunteers are placed by the appropriate department, ensure they are present, engaged, and aware of their roles
- Provide support and feedback to volunteers as needed to maintain a productive learning environment
4. Cross-Department Collaboration & School Engagement
- Coordinate closely with EPATT departments (tennis, academics, enrichment, operations) to ensure after-school programming is cohesive and aligned
- Serve as a liaison between EPATT and school site administrators to support communication, scheduling, and mutual goals
- Collaborate with schools to identify students who would benefit from EPATT programming and provide enrollment support directly to families onsite when needed
5. . Program Monitoring & Support
- Track student participation, classroom readiness, and family engagement data
- Collaborate with the Director of Programs on systems improvements and program adjustments
- Provide regular updates and feedback on program strengths and areas for growth
- Support monthly reporting on key metrics such as student enrollment, classroom readiness, and volunteer activity.
- Create simple visual reports or dashboards on outreach impact (e.g., number of families reached, student referrals, event attendance)

- Classroom Readiness: Every learning space is prepared, well-equipped, and ready for high-quality instruction daily.
- Engaged Families: Parents and caregivers are actively participating in family events and feel like valued members of the EPATT community.
- Strong School and Department Collaboration: The coordinator is known and respected by school staff and EPATT departments for their responsiveness and reliability.
- Efficient Operations: Systems for enrollment, communication, and classroom logistics are streamlined and up to date.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; background in education, social work, or nonprofit management preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth development, volunteer coordination, or program operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively with youth, families, and professionals.
- Experience with basic outreach strategies, community event coordination, and light content creation (flyers, social posts, newsletters
- Comfortable representing the organization in public spaces and working directly with schools and family-serving agencies
- Proficient in Google Suite, Zoom, and basic tech troubleshooting (e.g., Chromebooks).
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Must pass background check and provide TB test clearance
Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Compensation: $67,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
